I am so excited to be sharing this styled shoot with you today! I am so blessed to have amazing vendors who understand my creative mind, and I love so many different pieces about this shoot that my heart soared when it was featured on Style Me Pretty. So many different things come together for a styled shoot - usually you have one element that spurs it, and as your idea develops, it grows and changes and adapts. For me, this one item was a rose gold sequin table runner. One of my brides used a rose gold sequin linen for her wedding in March, and the minute that I saw it and felt it in my hands, I was hooked. Plus, I am happily and completely in love with black and white stripes, and so wanted to pair the two together and do a shoot with peaches and pinks to soften the look, capturing fun and beautiful elements that would hopefully inspire a lot of brides to think outside of the box when it came to their own wedding day.
I have always loved The Barkley House, which is a historical Pensacola venue that has many a wedding ceremony and reception take place. From it's expansive lawn to the warm and cozy feeling you get when you walk inside, it automatically makes you feel like you're transported back to the time of cameos and vintage, with historical images on its walls inside and velvet couches to sit upon. I knew that that was the perfect location for this shoot. I contacted Ashley of Ashley Victoria Photography and the moment I mentioned "rose gold sequins, black and white stripes, and silhouettes with peach and pink colors to add to the romance", she was as hooked on the idea as I was. From there, I talked to Fiore for the florals, Eliza George for makeup (who also handmade the beautiful cameo that adorned the bride's bouquet!), Cathy Sheldon to do the bride's hair, Kiley Bolster to provide heavenly desserts and beverages, and Bridal Loft and Randalls to provide the bridal gown and tux for the day. There is no way that we could have made this happen without all of these amazing people bringing their "A Game" that day - it was an amazing team of people to work with!!
Without further ado, I hope you truly love the images that follow in this post that Ashley Victoria captured. I hope you find some inspiration for your wedding, that your heart is spurred with giddy happiness the way that mine was as we saw it all come together, and that it reminds you to think a little outside of the box and create your own something wonderful for your wedding day. From a dessert bar to a tea time table, lace details and vintage glassware to hold the gorgeous florals and tapered candles, this was truly a fabulous day.
