Richard and Mirela came to Destin, Florida from Oklahoma to renew their vows after fifteen years of marriage. The weather did not cooperate, but everyone kept their fingers crossed and after about a two hour thunderstorm delay, we ended up with a beautiful ceremony on the beach!
Mirela was a beautiful sight in a stunning Vera Wang gown! The entire family was very patient while waiting for the weather to calm down. When we discussed having the ceremony under the pavilion when the weather was at it's worst, they both told us with huge grins on their faces, "we don't care if we are drenched ... we want to remember having the beach wedding we wanted fifteen years ago." Soon after, it's as though someone was listening, as the rains, thunder, and lightning finally stopped and turned into a light drizzle ... just calm enough for Richard and Mirela to have their dream wedding become a reality.
Finally, around 6:30pm, the rain lessened just for long enough for them to create their memories.... After the ceremony, they danced to "Remember When", first with each other, then with their children ... it was so beautiful!
Congratulations again, and I can't wait to see you again for your twenty-five year renewal!
