Hey everyone, happy Monday! I had such an amazing weekend participating at the Bridal Show at the Pensacola Bay Center. The day before, I stopped by Target to pick up a copy of Weddingstar Magazine because a styled shoot that I was a part of last spring was published in it!! To say that I was excited was an understatement. There is something about seeing your work in print form that is absolutely exhilarating. They are sold at Target, Walgreens, and Barnes and Noble if you would like to pick up a copy of the newest edition!
One thing that I plan to do more of this year is share color palettes from real weddings and current designs I am working on for bespoke collections, so that it can help you to plan your wedding as well! The majority of palettes that I work with are not traditional - they have unique color combinations or elements that aren't expected, so I am really excited about this addition to the blog.
I wanted to share this today because Pantone recently released their 2017 color of the year, and this shoot below was styled with both of the 2016 colors of the year included, incorporating both rose quartz and serenity blue. When Valerie contacted me about it, I said yes in an instant before I even read all of the details just because of those two colors alone. I am absolutely amazed at how beautifully it turned out, and loved how the colors all flowed together so well!
I was the stationery designer for this shoot. My absolutely favorite detail is the placecards designed for antler shaped placecard holders, but those beautiful blooms I added onto the back of the rsvp card? Le sigh. The entire shoot is just stunning. From the bride's beautiful dress and gorgeous bouquet, this would be so incredibly beautiful for a real wedding! And let's be honest here - I truly believe the creatively done florals by Lori Parker are simply stunning and every single detail looked that much more beautiful because of them.
As with all styled shoots, if you want to have a wedding with the same style, look at the elements that are included and choose your favorites. Perhaps it's the colors or the florals used, the addition of eucalyptus as a garland on the tables or the gold chargers - look at elements that are used that you can create into your own beautiful design on your wedding day. When it comes to the paper pieces, I would love to recreate these if you would like to contact me here!
