A very popular color for weddings this year is Dusty Blue, and the number one question I receive after that is wondering if it should be paired with silver or gold. Although I believe a lot of that has to do with your personal preferences, I think there are some pretty substantial differences in the way the two metallics look with it, so today there are two inspiration boards for you to compare and choose your favorite!
Goodness, do I have a beauty of a bespoke wedding invitation design to share with you today. Beautifully rich colors and a custom monogram incorporating the same florals as were in the bride's wedding bouquet, this one was one of my favorite custom wedding invitation designs from the winter of 2016.
Hey loves! Today I wanted to share a few details about a specific invitation suite designed for The Curated Collection, and share thoughts that went into the design for the Beloved Wreath Suite, which was inspired by Pantone's Color of the Year for 2017. I completely love the organic style that is being incorporated into a lot of weddings that I am seeing these days - from adding a long garland centerpiece to having bouquets that are comprised of more green than florals, I love the free-spirited but tailored beauty that they hold.
Today is my first day back home from the 2017 Society for Creative Founders Conference, and my mind is still swirling with everything that everyone shared and was learned. I was tremendously blessed to speak on the Core Module at this years conference experience, and I wanted to share a little bit of what I spoke on with all of you. I feel that this small dose of encouragement delivered in these loved Note of Grace posts is still so needed by so many, so I hope you will all continue to join me in reading these posts.
I always think it is interesting to see where ideas take you, and how they change from something that you began to do, to see how it can morph and grow into something completely different than originally intended.

A few months in, I also began designing a scripture version to go with it. Once I started this, I gave myself the challenge to stick to it for a year and see where it took me, leaving it open-ended as to where it would be a year from then. I have loved doing this for the last year, it has definitely been something that has taught me more about myself as a designer as well, while it unexpectedly encouraging me to continue to grow my faith! Looking back, it was amazing to see which designs seemed to be the most popular and which ones I loved to design the most. I loved putting together this collection below to see them all in one place. However, it also taught me something else that I wasn't expecting ...
This weekend, Rachel and Kent celebrated their wedding to begin their married life together! I was so excited for their day, even though we have never actually met in person. Rachel is an amazing bride who lives in Texas, and I worked with both her and her mom "long distance" for the last six months to create a beautiful bespoke letterpress wedding collection. I love how it all turned out and am stoked to share all of the lovely details with you today.
