Hello, inspiration! This styled shoot was featured recently on Every Last Detail and I am so excited to share the images of these beauties with you here as well .... the creativity by all involved is absolutely awe-inspiring, and there were so many beautiful details weaved into every piece. I tried hard to choose a favorite, but between the protea flowers or the stunning gown, the carefully hand-deckled edging included on the invitation or the delicate details incorporated into the cake design, I love every single detail.
This is one of the prettiest suites I have ever gotten to create, and I loved designing it for Kristie and Eric's wedding day. A gorgeous blush pink, silver glitter accents, and a shimmery taupe envelope completed the pocket invitation suite, and I love the way that it all came together when completed. A tremendous thank you to Ashley Victoria for photographing these beauties for me to share with you!
Kristie and I started working on her invitations from an initial design palette of pink and silver, and everything included a shimmery touch. The envelopes and liners both have a slightly pearlized finish, and with the pocket invitation having shimmer on it as well, it looked beautiful when all put together.
I am so excited to share details from Ashley and Brett's wedding day with you today! Their wedding was one of those "perfect day out of a fairytale" kinds of wedding days. The two of them are so kind, caring, and truly genuine people that it was an absolute pleasure and joy working with them to plan their wedding day. The moment that we started chatting at our initial meeting, I knew that their wedding day would be one filled with character but also with love ... because these two have *that* special kind of love - the kind that fills a room, the kind that makes you melt when you see the two of them together. Their wedding day took place at the Pensacola Country Club, and they were joined by 100 of their closest friends and family.
When I'm designing invitations, one element that I love to be included are envelope liners. I just finished completed a couple of invitation suites where the envelope liners made a huge impact (for a sneak peek of the two of them, check out my Instagram!) Your wedding invitations are the first clue your guests receive as to what your wedding is going to be like. And if your guests open the envelope and are immediately met with a gorgeously romantic floral pattern, thick black and white modern stripes, or gold glittery sparkle, it immediately will make a huge difference.
First off, if you are engaged, congratulations!! When you get engaged, there are so many thoughts that may run through your head - how do you decide what to do first? Do you go and buy every bridal magazine you can find? Do you start scouring Pinterest (or add more to the Pinterest board that you've been pinning to for a while now??) Where do you start? I have put together a small list together of 10 things that I think will deinitely help you get started on the right track to planning. And if you don't want to start planning right away, that is perfectly okay as well! Bask in the enjoyment of your new engagement, and when you're ready, that's when the time is to start planning your wedding. Getting engaged is a time in your life to enjoy. Please don't feel that anything written below needs to be done immediately.
Last weekend, these two people in the photo to my left got married! Their wedding was so incredibly beautiful and I loved designing their invitations along with other paper beauties that were incorporated throughout the day! I am so glad to be able to share them with you ... thank you SO much to Aislinn Kate Photography for capturing their paper details so beautifully!
Oh my goodness y'all. This wedding. Was so gorgeous. So beautiful. Simply an amazing day. And to top it off, we could not have asked for better weather at the Pensacola Country Club. My lovely bride and groom, Ashley and Brett, are seriously two of the sweetest and kindest people I have gotten to work with. When we met back in January, the minute that we started chatting about their wedding, I knew that they would be a fun pair of people to work with. On their wedding day, they were just so happy to be getting married - which made everyone else around them happy as could be as well! The dance floor was packed, laughter and smiles were everywhere, and even the venue coordinator couldn't believe how much good, plain FUN everyone was having! The amazing Aislinn Kate Photography was their photographer, and I am so excited to be able to share some of their wedding images with you already! So for now, enjoy this little sneak peek (I had such a hard time choosing only a few to share!), and stay tuned for their full wedding post in the weeks ahead!
Oh my goodness. I am SO excited to finally be able to share this wedding with you all. Ashley and Justin and I worked together for about eight months on their wedding, and it was definitely a good time had by all. They are such a happy and easy-going couple, and let me have a lot of creative control to just make it look elegant with a touch of gothic-ness blended in. It was one of the most naturally beautiful settings I have had to work with, as we were surrounded by grassy fields, beautiful horses, and just overall peace.
